Campus Diversity Collaborative Meeting – Intersectionality

Campus Diversity Collaborative Meeting
The Need for Intersectionality: Moving from Theory to Practice

Thursday, March 30, 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Danforth University Center, Room 236 (Danforth Campus)

Join other staff and faculty interested in discussing diversity and inclusion. We’ll start the meeting with an icebreaker and then hear from Brittany Harris from the Center for Diversity & Inclusion discuss “The Need for Intersectionality: Moving from Theory to Practice.”

Through this discussion, participants will learn foundational concepts regarding the vast array of intersecting social identities and how those social identities may limit access and coalition building, as well as tools that will enable participants to better support students who may be experiencing discrimination.
